Join us at the Lavender Library for National Day of Reading, in partnership with the Human Rights Campaign.
We are honored to welcome a California credentialed teacher and Lavender Library volunteer who will read books centering the experiences of trans and non binary youth and lead thoughtful, age appropriate activities.
Program
5:30 – 6:30 PM: Book and activity geared toward children ages 12 and under, all are welcome.
6:30 – 7:30 PM: Book and activity geared toward youth ages 13 and up, all are welcome, including adults.
National Day of Reading is about affirming that every young person deserves to see themselves reflected in stories. We look forward to gathering in community to celebrate joy, identity, and the power of books.
